ipfilter notes.

Some notes on ipf

If loading rules and getting:

ipf -f /etc/ipf/ipf.conf
9:ioctl(add/insert rule): I/O error

Make sure ipf is enabled (even if it’s running/active).

ipf -E

check loaded rules:

ipfstat -io

check inbound rules:

ipfstat -ih

check outbound

ipfstat -oh
